POSITION SUMMARY/CLASS DESCRIPTION SCOREKEEPER BRIEF DESCRIPTION: This is a seasonal position with applications reviewed on a continuous basis depending on needs of each season. The role involves recording a running score and time either manually or electronically for various sports leagues and tournaments. DUTIES: Keep a recorded book of the running score, fouls and time-outs for various leagues/tournaments in accordance with sport/program rules.

Provide on-site operational support for leagues/tournaments. Manage emergencies and safety measures beyond the scope of team managers in accordance with the policies and procedures manual. Handle any situations on-site that may arise such as protests, official no-shows, rule questions, inclement weather, emergencies, incidents, etc.

Ability to understand and interpret sport specific rules and County procedures. Deliver recorded book to the coordinator in a timely manner. SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS: Knowledge of current rules of the sport and the ability to interpret them.

Ability to deal with sometimes difficult individuals Ability to understand and interpret specific tournament rules and County procedures. MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE EXPERIENCE: Prior experience working as a scorekeeper preferred. Two (2) years knowledge of the rules of the specific sport.

EDUCATION: N/A RATE OF PAY: Salary commensurate with education and experience.
