Role and Responsibilities

The successful Service Advisor candidate is a critical support role providing exceptional customer satisfaction in servicing customers vehicles. The candidate must demonstrate true professionalism and leadership during the entire service process from the warm greet of customers to the confident review of their repair or service, then wrapping up the transaction with their team’s support. 

  • Provide warm welcoming greets and departures.
  • Ensures customers receive prompt, courteous service while displaying empathy delivering difficult news.
  • Provides excellent concierge support to all customer requests.
  • Tags, adds protectors, drives, and parks vehicles to be serviced, as needed.
  • Keeps service lane moving, including directing Service Porters.
  • Prepares work orders with keeping sales maximized and warranty coverage effectively utilized.
  • Works closely with parts department to execute timely repairs.
  • Distributes work between technicians efficiently keeping their time maximized.
  • Properly communicates and verifies all required warranty as needed.
  • Properly uses the computer systems as required for the entire service cycle.
  • Obtains approvals for repair estimates from customer and warrantor.
  • Receives and properly accepts new GM inventory.
  • Maintains an organized and clean Service area.
  • Follows proper cash handing systems.
  • Effectively handles difficult customer situations.
  • Encourages team to maintain high level of positive energy with customers and one another.
  • Maintains a professional and well-groomed Leachman image.
  • Completes all required training as needed.

Qualification and skills

  • Service advisor experience preferred
  • Basic computer’s skills. Solid Communication Skills. People-Oriented. Leadership skills, Active Listening skills. Time-management skills.
  • Basic understanding of GM vehicle operating systems helpful.
  • Valid and clean Driver’s record for the past two years
  • Pre-employment background check and drug screening required.
  • Base + Commission pay
