Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients to identify their presenting problems, historical context, and treatment objectives to develop a detailed understanding of their needs.
  • Provide one-on-one therapy, as well as couples and family sessions, utilizing best practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and narrative therapy to create impactful and engaging interventions.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously reassess personalized treatment plans based on client needs, preferences, and progress, ensuring that interventions are tailored effectively.
  • Foster therapeutic alliances through empathetic listening and support, enhancing clients' trust and collaboration during their treatment journey.
  • Regularly monitor and document client progress, ensuring compliance with ethical guidelines and legal standards throughout the therapeutic process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on addressing the mental health needs of school-aged children and their families. This role requires an understanding of the unique challenges faced by students, including academic stress, social pressures, and familial issues. You will work closely with educators, parents, and students to create supportive treatment environments that promote emotional and psychological health.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited university.
  • Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas is required.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical environment, with a strong preference for experience in a school or private practice setting.
  • Demonstrated clinical skills, particularly in assessment, treatment planning, and intervention delivery that yield positive outcomes.
