Our Services for People with Disabilities team is searching for dedicated, compassionate hourly part-time (10-23 hrs/wk or 24-29 hrs/wk or 30+ hrs/wk) Caseworkers in the Dubuque area. The Iowans we serve are seeking a life of greater confidence and independence, and it's our privilege to empower them toward success every day.

As one of Iowa's most trusted human services agencies, LSI has a legacy of serving children, adults, and families for more than 160 years. Our Services for People with Disabilities wrap care around individuals across the state, from providing occasional respite care or weekly services, to 24/7 support in either a shared apartment environment or one-on-one care through our Supported Community Living (SCL) program. You can make a direct impact on the lives of the Iowans we are privileged to serve.

What You'll Do

An hourly SCL Caseworker works with children and some addults with intellectual disabilities or chronic mental illness. Our Caseworkers are there to provide support, assistance, and instruction in learning independent living skills like:

- Money management

- Socialization

- Cooking

- Personal hygiene

It's important that the individuals we work with are encouraged to be involved in their community. Our Caseworkers should know the basics of outcome-based performance measures, and develop Individualized Service Plans that are functional and reflective of the personal goals each of our individuals have.

Flexible position with flexible schedule. Looking for someone who wants part-time that can lead to full-time position once caseload is built. No weekends, working with adults and after-school hours with children. Able to make own schedule that fits the clients needs. This position is out in the community and clients' home. Must have computer skills and able to drive since we take clients out into the community. If you looking to help others achieve their goals this job is for you.

What You'll Need

Qualified candidates for this job will have ONE of the following:

- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS in human services, education, or human services related field. One year of related experience is preferred.

OR

- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in Non- human services and 1 year of human services related experience.

OR

- AA Degree with 2 years of human services experience.

OR

- High school diploma/GED with 4 years of human services experience.

Must have some basic computer skills.

*IF you do not have any of these qualifications, please look at our Direct Support Professional - SCL position. DSP requires HS diploma/GED and valid and current driver's license; no experience required.
