Overview

The Temporary Reference Librarian works to serve the educational, research and information needs of the University community by providing research assistance to students, faculty, residents, fellows, and employees of New York Medical College. Reporting to the Associate Director, USER Services, this is a position that requires strong biomedical search and reference skills.

Responsibilities
  • Performs literature searches, and conducts search consultations for students, residents, and faculty.
  • Uses PubMed, Embase, EndNote, LibGuides, and other resources.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in library science from an ALA-accredited school.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, a public services orientation, and demonstrated written and spoken communication skills.
  • Previous employment as a health sciences librarian.
