Job description

Ready to transform healthcare with powerful data, trusted insights, and real-world results?
At Truven, we're not just working with healthcare data, we're changing how the industry uses it to improve lives.
We are seeking a data-driven and commercially minded Product Marketing Manager focused on MarketScan®, Truven's flagship healthcare analytics and real-world data platform serving the Life Sciences market. You will act as the critical link between our Product, Sales, and Marketing teams, translating complex healthcare analytics and data capabilities into compelling value propositions that resonate with biopharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, and research organizations.
The ideal candidate combines strong B2B product marketing experience with an understanding of healthcare analytics, Life Sciences buyers, and go-to-market execution. This individual will help shape product positioning, drive commercial growth, improve competitive differentiation, and equip sales teams to win in an increasingly competitive healthcare data and analytics market.
If you have a deep understanding of the Life Sciences landscape and a proven track record of driving product growth, we want you on our team.
About MarketScan
MarketScan® is Truven's flagship healthcare analytics and real-world data platform, delivering one of the industry's most trusted sources of healthcare claims, patient, provider, and treatment insights. MarketScan enables Life Sciences organizations, medical device companies, research organizations, and healthcare stakeholders to better understand patient populations, generate evidence, evaluate outcomes, and make more informed commercial and clinical decisions.
As the Product Marketing Manager for MarketScan, you will own positioning, messaging, market intelligence, and go-to-market strategy for one of Truven's most strategic growth portfolios. You will work closely with Product Management, Sales, Customer Success, and Executive Leadership to accelerate growth within the Life Sciences market while helping customers unlock the value of real-world data and healthcare analytics.
How You Will Contribute
Drive Market Growth
Increase MarketScan's footprint within the Life Sciences segment by effectively positioning and differentiating our data and analytics solutions. Partner with commercial teams to drive awareness, engagement, pipeline growth, and customer adoption.
Own Market Positioning & Messaging
Define and evolve MarketScan positioning, messaging, and value propositions across key Life Sciences buyer segments. Translate complex healthcare analytics and data capabilities into compelling narratives that resonate with commercial, clinical, research, and business stakeholders.
Provide Market Intelligence
Monitor the Life Sciences landscape and adjacent markets. Gather actionable insights on market trends, competitor movements, customer needs, and regulatory changes to inform our product and marketing strategies.
Lead Competitive Intelligence & Win/Loss Analysis
Develop and maintain competitive intelligence programs focused on market trends, competitors, positioning, and differentiation. Conduct win/loss analysis to understand buying criteria, competitive threats, customer decision-making, and opportunities to improve sales effectiveness.
Define Segmentation & Buyer Personas
Define and maintain deep, actionable buyer personas across Life Sciences and research-focused audiences. Segment the market to identify high-value targets and tailor our approach to address their specific pain points and goals.
Drive Go-to-Market Excellence
Partner with Product Management to develop go-to-market strategies and launch plans for new MarketScan products, capabilities, enhancements, and innovations. Coordinate cross-functional activities and measure adoption and business impact.
Enable Sales Success
Serve as a strategic partner to Sales and GTM teams. Develop messaging frameworks, competitive battlecards, presentations, sales enablement materials, and customer-facing content that improve sales effectiveness, shorten sales cycles, and increase win rates.
Improve Product Adoption
Accelerate the uptake of new features and existing products among current Life Sciences clients through targeted lifecycle marketing, customer communications, and value-driven messaging.
Deliver Life Sciences Market Insights
Act as the voice of the market and customer, helping internal stakeholders better understand buyer needs, industry dynamics, and emerging opportunities within healthcare analytics and real-world data.
What You Will Bring
  • 8+ years of B2B product marketing experience, preferably supporting healthcare analytics, healthcare data, Life Sciences technology, SaaS, or Real-World Data solutions.

  • Proven success driving product positioning, go-to-market strategy, competitive differentiation, sales enablement, and revenue growth.

  • Experience partnering closely with Product Management, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing teams to drive business outcomes.

  • Deep understanding of the full marketing and sales funnel - you know what it takes to partner across product management, sales, and marketing functions to generate demand, nurture intelligently, and drive revenue outcomes.

  • Ability to analyze ambiguous market signals, customer insights, competitive dynamics, and qualitative data where evaluation of intangibles is required.

  • Ability to provide thought leadership on market trends, buyer needs, and competitive strategy, and contribute to broader company-wide initiatives.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for making complex concepts accessible.

  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders, facilitate strategic discussions, and represent Truven internally and externally.

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret market data and translate it into actionable business strategy.

  • A "figure-it-out" mindset: you move fast, proactively solve problems, and bring positive momentum, especially when priorities shift.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with Life Sciences organizations, including biopharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, contract research organizations, or healthcare research firms.

  • Experience with Real-World Data (RWD), Real-World Evidence (RWE), healthcare claims data, healthcare analytics, or evidence generation solutions.

  • Experience developing competitive intelligence and win/loss programs.

  • Experience supporting enterprise sales organizations and strategic account initiatives.

  • Experience launching new products, solutions, or technology capabilities within healthcare markets.

What We Offer
A team connected by a bigger purpose - Truven offers a unique opportunity to be part of a mission-driven organization, dedicated to transforming healthcare through trusted analytics and data-driven solutions.
A culture rooted in collaboration and kindness - We believe great work starts with mutual respect and genuine teamwork. It's not just about what you achieve, it's about how you get there. A place to build and grow your career - We believe that learning never stops, curiosity should be celebrated, and every challenge is a chance to grow. Here, you won't just build skills, you'll build a career that evolves with you.
A total rewards package that reflects our values - We believe in taking care of our people and their families, so they can bring their best selves to work. We provide a comprehensive and competitive benefits package, annual bonus plan, paid time off, remote work flexibility and more.
If you're inspired by the opportunity to use data and analytics to drive real change in healthcare, Truven offers a chance to do just that. Here, your work will help clients make informed decisions that improve care, reduce costs, and support healthier communities-locally and globally. Join us and be part of a team that's redefining what's possible in healthcare through insight, integrity, and innovation.
