Within our Analytical Services team, we have a functional service provider solution, which is a unique partnership that allows our customers to leverage the experience of our staff, while allowing you, the employee, to gain direct experience working onsite at a pharmaceutical/ biopharmaceutical company, all while maintaining full-time benefits.

Discover Impactful Work:  Associate Scientist will conduct the cell culture lab works in both cell line development (CLD) and cell culture process development (Upstream) teams to support the development of stable manufacture cell lines that express the therapeutic antibodies.

Essential Functions of the Job (Key responsibilities):

  • Completes experiments for generating stable CHO cell lines expressing therapeutic antibodies, which include preparation DNA for transfection, conduct experiment in transfection, screening of transfected cells, as well as routine cell culture work.
  • Prepare media, buffers and solutions needed for laboratory work.
  • Write routine electronic laboratory notebook (ELN).
  • Present work summary to internal function teams.
  • Communicates clearly and collaborate actively with internal cross-functional teams to facilitate pipeline development of large molecules.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications (Minimal acceptable level of education, work experience, and competency):

  • BS degree within chemical engineering, biochemical engineering biology, molecular biology, biochemistry or cell biology and 1+ years of experience in an appropriate subject area or working towards relevant qualification
  • Basic knowledge in aseptic cell culture is required, hands-on experience in cell culture process development is helpful, relevant experience is a plus.  
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative, organized, and pay attention to details.

In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
