Labcorp is seeking a Data Science Intern to join our Oncology Team located in Baltimore, MD!

Work Schedule: Days/ Hours: 40hrs per week

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support development and evaluation of bioinformatics pipelines and internal tooling
  • Contribute to technical documentation
  • Learn development processes in an agile setting
  • Familiarize yourself with genomics results and aid in harmonization of genomic results for precision oncology products

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Life Sciences, Data Science, Bioinformatics or Computer Science

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-6 months experience with data and/or software, working with Next-Generation Sequencing data and/or tooling
  • 3-6 months experience delivering multiple projects in an academic or professional setting

Additional Job Standards:

  • Have an interest in oncology, genomics, data science and/or bioinformatics
  • Show initiative and the ability to work independently under general supervision
  • Maintains professionalism, including punctuality and appropriate conduct
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Actively participates in training sessions and applies newly learned skills accordingly
  • Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders

  • The Bioinformatics and Data Science team is a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists providing bioinformatics and data science support for the Oncology portfolio.
