Primary Function
Wor-Wic Community College continuously accepts applications for part-time instructional staff to teach courses in our General Education division, which includes Arts and Humanities, Human Services, Mathematics and Science departments.
Part-time instructional staff in this category teach courses that support many general education and transfer degree options for our students.

Essential Duties
  • Creates and manages an environment conducive to the student's learning of credit course material;
  • Prepares and uses course syllabi and recommends appropriate textbooks;
  • Meets all scheduled learning experiences, including the final examination;
  • Maintains student records;
  • Submits copies of course syllabi, copies of tests and the telephone number and hours he or she may be contacted;
  • Submits attendance rosters, midterm grades, final grades and other information to the vice president for enrollment management and student services within the established time frame each semester;
  • Conducts assigned classes in accordance with the catalog descriptions and the stipulations of the department and the college; and
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the department head.

Minimum Requirements
To qualify for a part-time instructional staff position at Wor-Wic Community College, applicants must have a master's degree and 12 graduate credits in their area of expertise, or related graduate coursework. For example, to qualify as a part-time mathematics instructor, applicants must have a master's degree and 12 graduate credits in mathematics or related graduate coursework.
Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate prior teaching experience.

This is an applicant POOL. Applications will be reviewed, and positions will be filled based on department needs. This is not necessarily a job posting for a currently vacant position.
