Summary

The Research Scientific Publishing and Repository Specialist serves as a senior editor for key manuscripts and projects, while also acting as the primary facilitator of educational and publication repository initiatives within the Office of Scientific Publications. Collaborating closely with the Biomedical Library, the role contributes to the development and maintenance of the Moffitt Publication Repository, Manuscript Pre-Submission Review Process, in addition to editing SOPs, topic guidelines, webpages, and resource guides. The role involves extensive collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including grant administrators, members of the Office of Scientific Development, and sponsors (NIH, DOD, etc.), to develop and maintain internal tracking and reporting required by grants, research projects, and institutional authorities. Credentials and Qualifications: -Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline or technical writing (e.g., biology, chemistry, physics, technical writing, or related field); with five (5) years of experience in a research or academic setting, with a focus on scientific editing/writing. -Medical Writer Certified (MWC) required within one (1) year of hire.

Salary Range

$75,153.00 - $114,701.60

Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
