About the Role:

As a Sr. Project Manager at MustardSeed, you will be contributing to end-to-end project delivery within specified timeframes, budgets, and quality standards. As an experienced project manager already, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes, steering multidisciplinary teams towards common goals.ย 
The Sr. Project Manager is the chief โ€œmake sure it happens โ€“ and happens rightโ€ person on the project and has the overall responsibility for ensuring that the outputs from each project phase โ€“ the initiation, planning, execution and closing phases โ€“ are delivered according to the requirements established and approved for that phase, and that these outputs are consistent across all phases.

You will contribute to a wide variety of different projects while maintaining a focus on project management best practices and stakeholder satisfaction.

Previous projects our team has facilitated include but are not limited to creating a robust integrated master schedule (IMS) for an upcoming clinical trial, identifying, and eliminating bottlenecks in a new product introduction (NPI) process, completing a transformative overhaul of a clientโ€™s product lifecycle management (PLM) process, ensuring the successful delivery of a newly acquired software, overhauling a clientโ€™s supply chain management (SCM) practices.ย 

This is a remote position โ€“ supporting customers virtually with rare travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Ensure that communication within and between organizations involved in the various phases is occurring effectively, and that management and other stakeholders are kept informed of progress, as necessary.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress while managing changes to project scope, project schedule, and project cost.ย 
  • Define project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Perform project risk assessments, including, among others, the risk of exceeding the budget, not meeting schedules, and technology risks.ย 
  • Understand, assess, and embed the right delivery methodologies, considering the project and business constraints.
  • Utilize appropriate Program Management Best Practices throughout the project duration.
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
  • Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis.

Skills Required:

  • Proven track record of delivery, ideally with at least 5 years in a project management role.ย 
  • Ability to think strategically and tactically about product, technical, and cross-functional issues.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal verbal and written communication skills.
  • High-caliber organizational skills (e.g., attention to detail, multitasking, etc.).
  • Proven leadership and experience in project management.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) / Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
