Our Houston office is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to work in our Structural Engineering team within a growing multidisciplinary team engaged in the design of a variety of building projects, across a number of geographies.
*This role can sit in Austin or Dallas*

The Opportunity:
  • Analyze and design structural elements and systems for steel, concrete, timber and masonry buildings in accordance with building code and design standards.
  • Perform lateral analyses of structure for seismic and wind loading.
  • Prepare and review drawings detailing the systems designed.
  • Complete design calculations for structural systems for permit submittals.
  • Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines and with architectural teams and contractors.
  • Review submittals prepared by contractors and respond to requests for information, perform construction site visits to observe the progress of construction.
  • Communicate our structural engineering designs to our clients and other stakeholders.

Is this role right for you?
  • Master's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering with a sound knowledge of structural engineering fundamentals as they relate to building systems.
  • 7+ years related experience in structural design and engineering.
  • Interest and experience in Data Center Design and/or Rail market are preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of general analysis and seismic design software (ETABS, SAFE, SAP, etc.)
  • Collaboration demands strong communication skills and excellent planning and organizational abilities, which are vital for our fast-paced setting.
  • Must be highly motivated, proactive and willing to tackle new challenges.
  • PE license required, SE license preferred

Houston Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in Houston is $112,000 to $129,000 per year. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of Houston will differ.
