Job description

Life Sciences Industry & Enterprise Practice Manager

Join our Life Sciences Industry & Enterprise practice to help leading pharma, biotech, and medtech clients define commercial strategy and reinvent how commercial work gets done. This role focuses on leading strategy work across asset / brand strategy, launch, portfolio growth, market access, patient services, functional transformation, operating model, process redesign, and AI/data-enabled reinvention.

What would you do?

As a Manager, you will lead client workstreams that help life sciences organizations make critical commercial decisions — from how to launch and grow assets to how to redesign functions and enterprise ways of working.

Your work could include:

  • Leading asset / brand strategy, launch, portfolio growth, market access, patient services, and broader commercial strategy workstreams
  • Assessing market dynamics, customer needs, competitive landscapes, access considerations, and commercial growth opportunities
  • Translating strategic recommendations into functional or enterprise implications across operating model, process, governance, capability, talent, and technology
  • Identifying where AI, analytics, automation, copilots, or agentic workflows can improve commercial decision-making, execution, or ways of working
  • Facilitating client discussions and synthesizing research, interviews, benchmarks, and data inputs into executive-ready recommendations

In this role you will be expected to:

  • Anticipate risks, dependencies, and shifting client priorities; prepare teams to pivot as programs evolve while keeping delivery focused on outcomes
  • Shape client objectives into clear workplans, hypotheses, analyses, and deliverables
  • Lead workstreams and manage analysts/consultants to produce high-quality, client-ready outputs
  • Manage day-to-day client relationships, including working sessions, feedback, and next steps
  • Apply life sciences commercial knowledge to connect asset, customer, access, functional, and enterprise implications
  • Bring a robust point of view on the "right answer" and shift from executor to advisor
  • Use structured problem solving and storytelling to communicate recommendations clearly and persuasively
  • Define value unlock opportunities by identifying where commercial strategy can drive growth, efficiency, differentiation, or better customer / patient outcomes; shape the value story, KPIs, and implications for leadership decisions
  • Support AI/data-enabled strategy and reinvention work by shaping use cases, workflow fit, required inputs, risks, governance, and human-in-the-loop considerations
  • Support proactive commercial strategy / reinvention opportunities and proposals by shaping the client problem, workplan, solution approach, and value story
  • Contribute to thought capital by developing reusable perspectives, frameworks, case examples, and market-facing points of view on priority commercial topics

Growth Opportunities

You will continue to grow through:

  • Leading high-priority commercial strategy and reinvention work for senior life sciences leaders
  • Building breadth across asset, function, and enterprise commercial strategy topics
  • Developing expertise in AI/data-enabled commercial strategy and future ways of working
  • Partnering across Accenture teams to bring together strategy, technology, analytics, operations, and industry expertise
  • Coaching analysts and consultants into future life sciences strategy practitioners

Who do we need?

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • Minimum of 6 years of life sciences commercial experience across asset / brand strategy, launch, portfolio growth, marketing, medical, market access, patient services, field, or commercial ops / transformation topics
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategy consulting, professional services, or an equivalent internal corporate-strategy role.
  • Bachelor's Degree

Preferrred Qualifications

  • Ability to lead work across both asset-level strategy and functional / enterprise-level reinvention questions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a workstream, manage clients, and coach junior team members
  • Strong client management skills, including ability to build trusted relationships, facilitate working sessions, manage feedback, align stakeholders, and communicate risks / tradeoffs clearly
  • Strong understanding of commercial strategy fundamentals such as market dynamics, customer behavior, access considerations, competitive positioning, value drivers, and launch / growth levers
  • Experience with operating model, process redesign, governance, capability building, transformation roadmap, or implementation planning work
  • Proactive mindset around innovative ways of working, including how AI, automation, copilots, and agentic workflows can improve productivity, quality, collaboration, and speed of execution
  • Working knowledge of AI/data concepts, including predictive analytics, GenAI, copilots, workflow automation, and agentic solutions
  • Practical understanding of how AI/data can be applied responsibly in commercial workflows, including where it creates value, what risks or dependencies must be managed, and how to support adoption with appropriate human oversight
  • Comfort partnering with technology, analytics, AI, and platform teams while staying anchored in the business problem
  • Proactive mindset around innovative ways of working, including how AI, automation, copilots, and agentic workflows can improve productivity, quality, collaboration, and speed of execution for external project & internal Accenture work
  • Strong PowerPoint, Excel, written communication, storytelling, facilitation, and executive communication skills
