Summary: Medical laboratory technician is responsible for performing medical laboratory tests and procedures to provide data for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease as ordered by a physician. The technician ensures proper patient and specimen identification and oversees quality control evaluation, supply management, and proper maintenance of analyzers and data. The technician demonstrates competency, knowledge and skills necessary to interact with and advocate for patients. The technician works closely with clinicians to provide the best diagnostic information, while striving to provide the highest quality patient services following established and accepted techniques. Position requires a high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, colleagues, and members of the community.
Requirements:
  • MLT (ASCP) or (AMT) registered or must be able to attain within one (1) year from date of hire.
  • Associate of Applied Science Laboratory Technology

Preferred:
  • Minimum One (1) year medical laboratory training or an equivalent level of education and experience
