Job description

DuBois Integrity Academy (DIA) is hiring a Middle Grade Science Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic school year. DuBois Integrity STEM Academy's academic program has two pillars that support substantial achievement improvement:  STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) combined with Blended Learning.  We use theme-based, interdisciplinary, integrated curricula to facilitate instruction and learning.   A combination of tightly-controlled behavioral studies and groundbreaking neurological research supports theme-based education as a means to improve the opportunities for success for all learners. 

We are seeking a passionate, highly enthusiastic Science Teacher who will create and teach engaging, student-centered lessons and have strong content knowledge in Science. The candidate must analyze data, use innovative research-based strategies, and ensure students' academic achievement while providing excellent customer service to students, staff, parents, and the community.

Key Responsibilities:

Instructs students using various teaching methods, including lectures, discussions, visual aids, and other effective strategies to enhance student comprehension.

Prepares lessons and outlines for class that effectively cover the material. 

Administers various types of assessments to monitor students performance-behavior and other issues.

Attends faculty meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications

The candidate must be able to foster a climate that promotes respect, tolerance, and peaceful problem-solving for all students.

Bachelor's Degree required

Science Certification preferred.
