Our Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Manager for our Construction Consulting Practice in our Alexandria, Virginia office. In this role you will work as part of a team which works on large complex construction change-management and dispute resolution engagements.
You will be responsible for
  • Project management
  • Performing and directing detailed project change issue analysis, including delay, cost, productivity impacts
  • Developing demonstrative exhibits, written affirmative and rebuttal reports, and client ready presentations for review by senior management and clients
  • Active participation in industry associations

You will have the following skills and qualifications
  • Master's degree with relevant experience in construction management, architectural design, and/or engineering
  • 10-15 years of experience in the subcontracting, general contracting, construction management or construction consulting industry
  • Sound understanding of industry standard scope and risk allocation processes as well as project delivery methodology
  • Full understanding of the project life cycle from design through closeout and dispute resolution.
  • Experience in construction change processes, including extra work, changes, claims, and dispute resolution processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work and interact effectively with internal teams and clients
  • Knowledge of and substantial experience with Primavera P6 and other Project scheduling software

Compensation
Our consultants are rewarded for their technical and business contributions and have an opportunity to plan for future success and career growth. Exponent's total compensation plan is consistent with its expectations of the quality and quantity of work performed and with the professional standards set by Exponent. At the Manager level and above total compensation includes base salary, annual bonus, and 401(k) employer contribution of 7% of base salary.
The base salary range for this position is dependent on experience and capabilities which will be assessed during the interview process.
