Job description

Description

ATSI is contingently seeking a highly experienced Scientist III to support research and development efforts for the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane). The ideal candidate brings strong analytical and modeling expertise, with a focus on computational electromagnetic (EM) modeling in support of Navy research and development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Construct, modify, and perform statistical and analytical investigations using mathematical and computer simulation models
  • Provide research and development support in computational electromagnetic (EM) modeling
  • Design and execute simulations to analyze system performance, behavior, and physical phenomena
  • Interpret and validate model outputs, identifying trends, anomalies, and areas for further investigation
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and scientific teams to support program research objectives
  • Document methodologies, findings, and recommendations in technical reports and briefings
  • Support technical reviews and provide subject matter expertise to government stakeholders and program leadership
  • Stay current with advancements in computational modeling techniques and EM simulation tools relevant to program needs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited institution (Life or Physical Science, Engineering, or related technical field)
  • 10+ years of experience in Life or Physical Science
  • Demonstrated ability to construct, modify, and/or perform statistical/analytical investigations of and with mathematical/computer simulation models
  • Experience providing research and development support in computational EM modeling
  • Active DoD SECRET clearance required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in a Life Science, Physical Science, or related technical discipline
  • TS/SCI clearance preferred
