School Supervision Monitor Jobs (NOW HIRING)

School Monitor - $16.00 per hour DOE. Traditional school year position. At Wilson School District, we believe that education should be shaped by a sense of purpose

Under direct supervision the School Monitor is responsible for providing the safety of students on playgrounds, buses, street crossings, lunchrooms, hallways, and other school property by enforcing school rules and policies pertaining to student behavior in areas as described above. The School Monitor may serve in one or more of these areas. The School Monitor may also be exposed to extreme temperatures when working outside.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Report any difficulties or unusual problems to the teachers and other school personnelYou must be able physically capable of prolonged standing, walking, and stoopingMay direct students in gathering materials, games, balls, or other items to be used during the activitiesBe able to give special attention to safety factors when weather or other circumstances occurImmediately report any injury or unusual problems to the professional staffConvey positive communication/interactions with the studentsRestricting students from inappropriate behaviorDismiss classes in an orderly manner at the scheduled timesChecking the playground daily, and appropriately addressing ground and equipment hazardsResponding appropriately to emergenciesAdhering to safety practices and administering first aidPerform other duties as assignedMINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or G.E.DValid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card.PREFFERED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or G.E.DExperience in a school or childcare environment preferred.Valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card. The district name was changed in the mid-1930's to Hawkins School. From Wilson to Hawkins to Ward to Skiff, the District was bought by Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and relocated to its current location in the early 1980's and named Wilson Primary and Wilson Elementary, opening on Martin Luther King Day in 1985. The district boundaries cover an area from Roosevelt Street to the north; the Salt River to the south; 40th Street to the east; and, 16th Street to the west.
