Science Technician
The British International School Houston is looking to appoint an outstanding Science Technician to support the practical and technical aspects of the science curriculum (year 7 to 13) by preparing, providing, maintaining, organising and managing the resources required for healthy, safe and secure, exciting practical activities to be carried out by staff and students.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in science.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience.
  • Must be proficient with MAC and Desktop.
  • Be available onsite Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Ordering specific special equipment as requested by staff.
  • Organising storing and labelling of new equipment.
  • Liaising with academic staff to discuss equipment requirements.
  • Attend department meetings to support with curriculum planning.
  • Support in the management of the science budget.
  • Keep an audit of chemicals.
  • Organise the waste of chemicals.
  • Preparing solutions from stock concentrations.
