Job description

Job Title

Knowledge and Qualifications:

  • Must have experience working with Pre-K, elementary, and/or middle school students in an academic setting or extensive experience in a camp and/or extended day program.
  • Ability to work with students of varying ages and abilities in a calm and supportive manner.
  • PreK staff requirement: the ability to lift children, generally up to 35-50 pounds
  • High school diploma required.

Description of Duties:

  • Support the students in our program with various activities, both academic and social-based.
  • Actively engage students in both academic, social skills, and other fun/social-based activities.
  • Assist site coordinators in preparing centers and activities for student engagement in structured and/or free play.
  • Assist site coordinators prior to the start of Academic and/or Enrichment programs.
  • Assist with transitioning students to different activities, schedules, as well as arrival and dismissal.

****Preferred: Candidates available to work Wakefield Public Schools early release days. They are scheduled for varying Fridays beginning at 12:00pm

Salary: $26.00
