Charter School Associates is a growing family of the best tuition-free public charter schools in multiple counties across Florida, including Miami-Dade, Broward, Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Brevard. We hire Florida Certified Teachers qualified to educate students in Kindergarten, Middle School to High School.

Receptionist

Job Duties:

Daily Operations

  1. Directs phone calls to appropriate personnel
  2. Answers the phone and greets guests
  3. Retrieve voice mails messages (voice mails can be distributed via email)
  4. Receives and records messages
  5. Maintain organized reception area (water plants as necessary)
  6. Assists with new school openings
  7. Maintains file of accident reports, serious accidents should be scanned and a phone call should be made
  8. Assists with coordinated printings and mailings
  9. Prepares items for mailing
  10. Sorts and delivers CSA mail
  11. Receives, unpacks and verifies incoming CSA shipments
  12. Purchase USPS stamps
  13. Sorts and files documents as requested
  14. Assist departments as requested
  15. Update school calendars in Finalsite
  16. Maintain inventory of office supplies
  17. Order supplies for office and new school opening
  18. Makes CSA appointments
  19. Sends monthly Birthday cards to school personnel
  20. Send flowers for special occasions
  21. Update and maintain office calendar
  22. Assist with CSA Events
  23. Write in green book notes for cleaning
  24. Maintain and organize kitchen supplies and paper good stock
  25. Contact Milner for maintenance of copy machines
  26. Keep CSA/Schools contact information up to date
  27. Perform other duties or services as required

Additional Responsibilities:

Work independently and exercise sound judgment within established guidelines; collect, evaluate and interpret varied data; use word processing, graphics, spreadsheet and database programs to develop reports, databases and communications materials; compose correspondence; coordinate multiple projects and meet critical deadlines; establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

Employees must be able to relate to other people beyond giving and receiving of instructions: (a) can get along with co-workers or peers without exhibiting behavioral extremes and (b) respond appropriately to criticism from a supervisor.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of three to five years related experience
  2. University/College degree in a related discipline preferred
  3. Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office
  4. Organized, energetic, innovative and professional
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written English communication skills

Physical Requirements:

On a continuous basis, sit at a desk for long periods of time in front of a computer screen; intermittently twist to reach equipment or supplies surrounding desk; perform simple grasping and fine manipulation; use telephone and computer keyboard on a daily basis
