Job description

Mater Dei High School School Bus Driver

Mater Dei High School, a Catholic, co-educational, college preparatory high school of the Diocese of Orange, has an immediate opening for an experienced School Bus Driver.

Under the supervision of the Director of Transportation this position will operate and maintain school buses to transport students safely and efficiently to an assigned location using a designated route; maintain student supervision while transporting; perform regular safety inspections; prepare a variety of records and reports related to assigned activities.

Required Certifications/Licenses:

  • Valid California Commercial Driver License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements: Passenger (P) Endorsement, School Bus (S) Endorsement
  • Valid California Special Driver Certificate for School Bus.
  • Current Medical Examiner's Certificate.
  • Completion of required California school bus driver training.
  • Acceptable driving record.
  • Successful completion of criminal background clearance and drug/alcohol testing requirements.
  • CPR certified/First Aid

This is a full time, non-exempt position.

Schedule: Monday through Friday; weekends as needed.

Hourly Rate: $29.00 to $31.00
