Job description

Budget Secretary For Career And Technical Center

The State College Area School District is seeking an anticipated Budget Secretary for its Career and Technical Center (CTC). This position provides administrative support to the CTC Director and works collaboratively with teachers, students, parents, and visitors to support the daily operations and accomplish all goals of the Career and Technical Center.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining the CTC budget and financial records.
  • Processing purchase requisitions, invoices, and bank deposits.
  • Support the planning and coordination of CTC activities and events.
  • Performing a variety of clerical and administrative duties.
  • Managing the CTC calendar, appointments, and meeting schedules.
  • Compiling, maintaining, and reporting program data.
  • Maintaining confidential student and program records.
  • Responding to inquiries and resolving challenging situations with professionalism.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, exceptional organizational skills, and excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively prioritize multiple responsibilities are essential. The successful candidate must be able to work independently while managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment and handling confidential information with discretion. The ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team is equally important. Experience with student information management systems and/or electronic school finance systems is preferred. Proficiency with Google Workspace and other technology applications is required.

Grade D; 7.5 Hours/day; 260 Days/year

The minimum pay rate for this position is $21.60 per hour.
