Job description

The Hockomock Area YMCA School's Out Program is hiring a School Age Program Director/Site Director to lead a licensed before- and after-school program in the Bernon Family Branch. This leadership role offers an exciting opportunity to shape a safe, enriching, and fun environment for children while managing a strong team and building community partnerships.

Essential Functions
  • Ensure full compliance with all EEC licensing regulations

  • Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate curriculum for before/after school, early release, and enrichment days

  • Supervise daily program operations and provide direct care when needed to maintain ratios

  • Build a positive, inclusive atmosphere that supports youth development and family engagement

  • Recruit, hire, train, and schedule staff; provide ongoing feedback and performance evaluations

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized program space; manage supplies and snack inventory

  • Communicate regularly and clearly with families and school staff

  • Maintain accurate attendance, registration, and documentation; submit required reports and logs

  • Foster strong relationships with school personnel and participate in YMCA events and campaigns

  • Meet annual training requirements (minimum of 20 hours) for continued professional development
