High-end custom upholstered furniture workroom looking for an energetic, technically skilled individual with the fabrication skills required to assist in the production of hardwood furniture frames.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Working with the Owner and Upholstery Team Leader to produce frames for new furniture, including chairs, sofas, and beds
  • Assisting in the modification and assembly of repurposed furniture and frames
  • Learning the methods and techniques of traditional and modern frame making, as practiced in our workroom
  • Working to ensure initiatives related to cost improvements and production efficiencies are practiced
  • Maintaining safety, quality and equipment standards
Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience making and/or designing wood furniture frames including proficiency with all of the major hand tools and machines
  • Technical proficiency, including the ability to read and interpret frame drawings
  • Eagerness to learn and dedication to commit the time required to do so
  • Collaborative and team-oriented persona including collaborating with other frame makers
  • Effective verbal communication skills
  • Care and meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
