Description
Position Summary:
The Denver International Airport Installation/Service Supervisor at Schlosser Signs plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of installation and service projects. This position involves thorough project preparation, coordination with various stakeholders, quality control, and effective communication to keep projects on track. The DIA Installation/Service Supervisor must exhibit strong organizational and problem-solving skills to handle a variety of issues that may arise during the installation/service process.
Project Review and Preparation:
• Review and thoroughly understand project requirements, drawings, and specifications before on-site work begins.
• Obtain and maintain copies of project drawings, in both digital and paper form.
• Evaluate projects for installation concerns or potential challenges.
• Participate in pre-mobilization meetings, both internally and externally.
• Develop installation plans, including lift plans when necessary.
• Create job-specific Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) forms.
• Familiarize yourself with project tracking expectations and systems.
Coordination:
• Collaborate with site General Contractors (GC) and DEN (Denver International Airport) personnel to coordinate equipment and material access, installation dates, and removal schedules.
• Maintain effective communication regarding project status with Schlosser Project Managers, Director of Field Operations, and other team members.
• Collaborate with the production and design teams as required to provide feedback and help develop efficient solutions.
Problem-Solving and Support:
• Assist in troubleshooting and solving problems as they arise during projects.
• Provide hands-on support during installation or removal of signs.
• Delegate and assign work to appropriate team members and provide installation support as necessary.
Quality Control and Inspections:
• Schedule inspections during the project and be present during these inspections.
• Coordinate with PM and project coordinator to schedule any necessary subcontractors during projects.
• Track and manage punch list items.
• Quality control checks on work completed by Schlosser installers.
• Inspect products upon arrival onsite before installation.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Assist in developing installation schedules with Director of Field Operations and Project Managers.
• Make sure on-site installation teams have the correct tools and materials to complete scheduled work on time.
• Provide training to Schlosser installers as necessary.
• Ensure that all documentation (photos, reports, etc.) are completed and submitted correctly.
• Schedule and complete surveys as required.
• Ensure all required safety documentation is completed at the beginning of each shift.
• Emphasize the safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment, provide safety training to team members as required.
Requirements
Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of construction and installation processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to adapt to new technologies and project management tools.
• Attend monthly safety training.
• Attend any necessary virtual or in-person meetings, including Teams meetings, to facilitate project coordination and communication.
Required Certifications/Training:
• OSHA 30 certification
• CPR/First Aid training
• Forklift certification
• Aerial Boom lift & scissor lift certification
• Respiratory Mask Fit Testing
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
• DEN Badging Background Check, Drug Testing, etc, is required and must be maintained.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and carry items weighing 70 pounds.
• Must be able to lift, squat, bend, kneel, reach, pull and push heavy items.
• Must be able to safely use a ladder.
• Must be able to work in extreme conditions (-10F- +100F).
Salary Description
$38-$50/hr.
