Job description

• Accurately pull products from a pick list to be staged for loading trucks
• Place items pulled onto a pallet according to stop number; loose/single items are to be placed in break boxes for stacking in the truck; loose chemicals should be placed in a box by themselves to ensure safe handling and transport
• Ensure excellent quality of product; check each item for damage & dates that are within policy
• Verify accuracy of the customer orders with products pulled before sending to loaders
• Make appropriate substitutions for items that are out of stock
• Maintain organization of products and equipment within the warehouse
• Ensure all areas in the dry warehouse are kept clear, clean and orderly before leaving daily
• Ensure safety at all times
• As assigned, assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed
Requirements
• High School diploma preferred
• Warehouse food distribution experience essential
• Must be dependable, flexible and able to work as a part of a team
• Reliable attendance is required
• Must be detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to safely operate hand jacks and forklift if assigned
• Must be able to meet accuracy and productivity goals (picks/hour)
• Ability to bend and reach for products on pallets
• Ability to lift repetitively 40 pounds (and up to 80 pounds)
• Ability to climb ladder
• Ability to work on concrete floors for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in extreme climates
• Ability to perform basic math skills
• Ability to read, write and understand written instructions
Salary Description
