Class and Grade
This position is available exclusively to currently enrolled SJR State students and pays $15 per hour.
Position Summary
This position requires a FAFSA on file and is available only to current SJR State students who are eligible for student employment during the current semester. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Applicants must successfully pass employment verification, reference screening, and a background check. This position is not eligible for Veteran's Preference.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist with theatrical scenery construction, scene painting, and craft development.
• Operate power tools and assist with construction and welding projects.
• Assist with scene painting, lighting, sound, and theatrical production activities.
• Construct, maintain, and organize props and scenic materials.
• Assist with light hanging and light or sound board programming.
• Maintain scenic stock, equipment, storage areas, and shop organization.
• Update production and shop paperwork and records.
• Assist with other scene shop and production duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Current SJR State student eligible for student employment.
• FAFSA must be on file.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop, and/or Vectorworks preferred.
• Ability to safely use tools and equipment and follow instructions.
This position is not eligible for benefits.
