Job description

Color is unforgiving. One degree too hot, one minute too long, one digit entered wrong, and the entire batch is off. As a Dye House Operator, you control that margin for error. You read the job card, measure precisely, monitor heat and timing, and make sure every strand comes out the exact shade it is supposed to be. The work is physical, technical, and steady. You move materials, operate industrial dye machines, record data, and keep production on track. When you do it right, the product moves forward. When something shifts, you catch it early and correct it. This role matters because every finished product depends on the color you produce.
This Grand Rapids based manufacturer produces custom dyed yarn used in flooring and textile products across the country. The facility operates multiple shifts with industrial dye equipment, RF drying systems, and strict quality controls to maintain consistent high volume production.
Each day you prepare yarn according to job card instructions, assist the Lead Dye Technician during dye cycles, operate dye machines and the RF yarn dryer, record production data, and keep materials organized and moving safely through the dye house.
