Job description

Brick Mason

Position Summary:
This role requires attention to detail, craftsmanship, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Pay Depends on Experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lay brick, block, stone, and other masonry materials according to project plans and specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layout measurements.
  • Mix mortar and prepare materials for installation.
  • Repair and replace damaged masonry on existing structures.
  • Ensure all work meets company quality standards and applicable building codes.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, mixers, saws, and other masonry equipment safely.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Collaborate with laborers, foremen, superintendents, and other trades to ensure efficient project completion.
  • Identify and communicate material needs or project concerns to supervisors.
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of brick masonry experience preferred (or equivalent combination of training and experience).
  • Ability to read construction plans and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of masonry techniques and building practices.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions.
  • Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • Frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
  • Stand, bend, kneel, climb, and work on scaffolding for extended periods.
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to safely use masonry tools and equipment.
