This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Mid-level SCADA and Industrial Control System Engineer for our Arlington, VA office. Be involved in projects with our Federal Programs Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients' objectives and solves their challenges
Your Impact
  • Manage and document system requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives and stakeholder needs.
  • Analyze system architectures and recommend improvements to optimize performance, reliability, and safety.
  • Conduct system integrations and evaluate performance to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Assist in overseeing interface management and ensure compatibility between system components.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks that may impact project outcomes.
  • Apply proven systems engineering methodologies to resolve technical challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant post-education experience in an engineering discipline and prior systems engineering experience.
  • Due to client requirements, US citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain a US government Secret/Top Secret clearance.
  • Engineer in Training Certification.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and clients.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
  • Proficiency in systems engineering methodologies, tools, and practices.
  • Capable interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience.
  • Effective self-leadership with attention to detail, results orientation, and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Active US Government Secret/Top Secret Clearance.
