Job description

Indiana University Health, the largest and most comprehensive healthcare system in Indiana, is seeking a Hospitalist to join our growing team at Saxony Hospital in desirable and growing Indianapolis suburb of Fishers, IN.

Position Details
  • Robust community hospital, variety in acuity of patients, opportunity for teaching and great living community and schools
  • Full-time, Days (7 on/7 off, 10 hours in-house)
  • 88 beds with newly opened addition in October 2025. 12โ€‘bed combined ICU/PCU unit
  • 100% inpatient covering medical and surgical; hospitalists team consists of 8 physicians and 5 APP's for excellent culture of teamwork, support, and collaboration
  • Intensivist support onsite Mโ€‘F daytime hours, 24/7 onโ€‘call. Open ICU, hospitalist admit all ICU patients including intubated, pressors (with the exception of STEMI) and run code teams. Procedures not required but option to perform if comfortable/competent.
Qualifications
  • Residency training in Internal Medicine
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine
  • Minimum of one year experience, preferred
  • Physician licensed in Indiana or eligible for medical licensure in Indiana

IU Health Fishers Hospital is a 44โ€‘bed hospital located in the town of Fishers, Indiana, a beautiful northwestern suburb of Indianapolis. IU Health Fishers Hospital delivers a primary focus on surgical services for cardiovascular and orthopaedics, and provides area residents with the latest advancements in medical care and treatment. The hospital offers the only 24/7 coverage for urgent heart care in the city of Fishers, and is home to the IU Health Hip and Knee Center where more hip and knee replacements are performed than any other IU Health facility in the state.

IU Health Fishers Hospital is proud to be an integral part of the Fishers community. A leader in promoting and preserving wellness, hospital team members are eager to work in collaborative ways to help area residents lead healthier lives. Designated as a Dementia Friends facility, IU Health Fishers Hospital is the first hospital in the state to have every employee at the hospital (regardless of interaction with a patient) complete training in assisting and caring for patients with dementia.

Announced in 2022, the IU Health Fishers Hospital will undergo a $300 million investment to grow the campus square footage by 50%. Fifty inpatient beds will be added (including a labor and delivery unit), as well as an expansion of primary and specialty care services.
