Job description

Job Purpose:
- The Lead Relief Operator-BFP-Sawmill at The Beasley Group is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the efficient operation of sawmill machinery and equipment. This role is pivotal in maintaining production schedules, optimizing machine performance, and ensuring safety standards are met in an industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor sawmill machinery to ensure optimal performance and output.
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of operators, ensuring adherence to company policies and safety regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to prevent downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any mechanical issues that may arise during operations.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet daily and weekly production targets.
- Maintain accurate records of production data, equipment performance, and maintenance activities.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Assist in training and developing new operators to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
- Communicate effectively with management and other departments to coordinate activities and resolve issues promptly.

Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training in industrial operations or a related field is preferred.
