Job description

Summary:

We are currently seeking a team-oriented individual to fill the role of Test Material Processor at our Cudahy, WI facility. We are looking for someone with good problem solving and communication skills to prepare test samples through machine tool operation for metallurgical testing and to conduct certain metallurgical tests on various materials and forgings. Applicant must pass aptitude test.

Essential Functions:

  1. Layout and section off test material.
  2. Turning, facing, form grinding, threading of cylindrical test specimens, polishing of test specimens and redlining of test specimens.
  3. Turning and facing of etch samples and sawing, shaping, milling and surface grinding of rectangular shaped test specimens.
  4. Preparation of etched samples.
  5. Produce test specimens through hot working operation of the Hot Compression Tester and related equipment is performed jointly with the IFPTE techs
  6. Store, scrap and dispose of production related test material.
  7. Store, scrap and dispose of acceptance material.
  8. Experimental Heat Treat Operations.
  9. Pick-up and delivery of test material.

Minimum/Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years Manufacturing Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years Machining Experience
