POOL HOST
Sensei Lāna'i, A Four Seasons Resort, is looking for a Pool Host who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. Our teams' have the opportunity to shape our guest experience by providing exceptional knowledge of the Resort and exemplifying the Golden Rule in each interaction. Work authorization required.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Pool Host creates memorable dining experiences through warm, personalized service and a genuine passion for hospitality. This role anticipates guest needs, provides attentive and knowledgeable food and beverage service, and confidently shares menu recommendations, ingredients, and preparation details to enhance guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Deliver an exceptional poolside dining experience by welcoming guests, preparing seating areas, taking and entering food and beverage orders, accommodating special requests, and providing attentive, personalized service throughout the guest experience
  • Maintain clean, organized, and guest-ready pool areas by setting up tables, towels, umbrellas, and amenities, while anticipating guest needs and documenting preferences to enhance future visits
  • Ensure prompt and professional service by monitoring guest satisfaction, responding to inquiries and concerns, and providing continuous beverage, water, and table maintenance service
  • Assist with the setup, breakdown, cleaning, and resetting of poolside dining areas, towel stations, and related service areas while maintaining cleanliness and operational readiness
  • Accurately process guest checks, cash and credit card transactions, and billing adjustments in accordance with established accounting and operational procedures

WHAT TO BRING
  • Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States
  • The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four (24) hours a day and scheduled days and times may vary based on need. Holidays and weekends availability is required.
  • Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card
  • Hawaii Food Handler's Card is required for this role
  • Maui Liquor Card Preferred, but not required
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods, lift up to 60lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts
