Job Description:

The Tactical Radio Field Service Representative (FSR) at L3Harris is responsible for providing on-site product demonstrations, technical support, maintenance, and operational guidance for L3Harris Tactical Radio communications, radio systems and equipment. This role involves direct interaction with customers, ensuring that systems are fully functional and meet operational requirements.  FSR's often work in various locations, CONUS and OCONUS, at military bases and remote field sites and interact with DoD and International Military personnel. 

Essential Functions:

  • Provide product demonstrations in support of our Sales and Program Teams. 
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair L3Harris Tactical Radio communications systems and equipment in the field.
  • Provide on-site technical support to customers, including system operation training and assistance during live exercises and mission prep.
  • Conduct system diagnostics and perform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
  • Coordinate with engineering and technical teams to resolve complex issues and implement system upgrades or modifications.
  • Document field service activities, including maintenance records, service reports, and incident logs.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements during field operations.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships by providing exceptional service and technical expertise.
  • Assist in the development of technical manuals, guides, and training materials for end-users.
  • Provide feedback to product development teams based on field experiences and customer input to enhance product design and functionality.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the year, often on short notice, and potentially to international locations.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance, US & International Driver's Licenses and qualify for a company credit card

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Proven experience in field service, particularly with L3Harris Tactical Radio and communications equipment or related military communication systems.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Proficiency in programming and use of  L3Harris Falcon IV Product Line
  • Proficiency in programming and use of  L3Harris Falcon III Product Line
  • Experienced in networking with IP-capable waveforms 
  • Proficient in IP networking
  • Experience in working with International Customers
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in remote and challenging environments.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to convey technical information effectively.
  • Familiarity with RF principles, satellite communications, and networking.
  • Possesses strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and effectively in both writing and speech

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New York state is $73,000 - $135,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
