We are seeking a Radio Frequency (RF) Systems Integrator with SATCOM experience to support our Virginia-based Federal Government client. The ideal candidate should possess the following skills.
โ€ข Experience designing, installing, and maintaining iDirect-based Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) test networks, including multiple modem types and antenna front-end configurations.
โ€ข Strong background integrating commercial VSAT technologies to meet customer or program requirements, supported by independent research, planning, and technical trade studies.
โ€ข Proven ability to conduct satellite signal environment surveys, including performance evaluation, signal validation, and quality verification of recorded data.
โ€ข Proficiency in Python for signal analysis, automation, and data processing, with experience using open-source DSP and scientific computing libraries.
โ€ข Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining end-to-end RF/data pipelines, from analog front-end capture through ingestion, processing, and storage in post-processing databases.
โ€ข Solid understanding of RF and antenna systems, particularly as applied to VSAT and satellite communications environments.
โ€ข Ability to effectively operate in test, lab, and field environments with minimal supervision. Location: Reston, VA Clearance: Active Top Secret Responsibilities: Required Qualifications: * โ€ข DoD TS/SCI clearance
* โ€ข Engineering Degree (Electrical, Systems, etc.) to support this technical role
* โ€ข Minimum of 8 yearsโ€™ experience with RF and Satellite Communications
* (SATCOM)
* โ€ข Background supporting government, defense, or IC-related satellite
* communications programs.
* โ€ข Willingness to work non-standard schedules, including shift work, overtime,
* weekends, and travel up to 40%
Desired Qualifications: * โ€ข Experience with VSAT-focused signal exploitation or monitoring systems.
* โ€ข Familiarity with automating test networks or analysis pipelines using Bash,
* Python, or similar scripting tools.
* โ€ข Hands-on experience performing digital signal processing (DSP) on IQ data,
* including analysis and troubleshooting using Linux-based systems.
