Job description

Hebron Brick, an employee owned company located in Hebron North Dakota is looking for a Control Engineer. Plant hours are Monday - Friday 6:30 am to 3:00 pm CST.

Control Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for technical support for industrial controls utilized in the manufacturing process.
  • Assist Plant Manager on daily plant operations to improve efficiency and profit.
  • Monitor daily operations of kiln and dryer and make program changes as necessary.
  • Monitor kiln and dryer equipment (actuators, fans, solenoids, thermocouples) for efficient operation.
  • Oversee installation of control systems on new and/or existing equipment.
  • Make programming changes that are required to maintain and improve the manufacturing process
  • Manage Plant Technicians; responsible for scheduling vacations and daily work schedules over three shifts, as well as daily and weekly production schedules.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Responsible for upkeep of all electrical and electronic components in the plant: programming, spare part inventory, maintenance, and updating with new technology.
  • Perform tests and analyze results to improve the quality of products and efficiencies.
  • Work with employees and equipment to improve working conditions and efficiencies.
  • Exercise outstanding communication, leadership, and personnel management skills.
  • Comprehensive understanding of mechanical and electrical plant processes, equipment, and work flow, resulting in cost-efficient manufacturing operations.
  • Software: Allen Bradley Factory Talk, RSLogix 500 & 5000, RSLinx, PanelBuilder32, DeviceNet, Fanuc Karel Software, Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Equipment: Fanuc Robotics, Allen Bradley Control Logix, PLC's, and PanelViews

Applicant should have an excellent knowledge of PLC systems, electrical theory, understanding of mechanical and electrical plant processes, equipment, and workflow, resulting in effective trouble shooting that minimizes downtime and contributes to the production of a quality product. Exercise outstanding communication, leadership, and personnel management skills. Software: Fanuc Karel Software, Allen Bradley RSLogix 500 & 5000, RSLinx, Panelbuilder; Microsoft Word and Excel. Equipment: Fanuc Robotics, Allen Bradley Control Logix, PLC's and Panel views
