Job description

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus 3 years relevant experience.
Clearance:
Department of Defense TS/SCI clearance is preferred at time of hire. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Polygraph within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:
  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering
  • Strong understanding of wireless communications systems, digital signal processing, RF theory, and communications theory
  • Strong understanding of modulation and demodulation techniques, PLLs, forward error correction techniques, BER testing
  • Previous experience with wireless protocols such as SGLS, CCSDS, DVB-S2 and other satellite TT&C waveforms (including ranging)
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies/containerization (e.g. docker, podman) and software defined radios
  • Familiarity with commercial test equipment such as Signal Generator, Spectrum Analyzer, Vector Network Analyzer, Oscilloscope, etc.
  • Proficiency with Python or other scripting languages
  • Proficiency with Linux operating system
