Ramon.Space is seeking a skilled and experienced SATCOM System Engineer to join our innovative team.

This role is essential for the successful development of our state-of-the-art satellite communication systems.

The ideal candidate will possess expertise in developing digital telecom systems and have an in-depth understanding of telecom for space applications, RF, and signal processing. As a SATCOM System Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge space telecom technologies that transform how we communicate in space. Working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, you will ensure the deployment of reliable, low-power, state-of-the-art spaceflight systems that meet the highest standards of performance and durability.


What you will be doing​
  • Lead and participate in the system engineering process for advanced satellite communication systems, including requirements definition, architecture design, and system validation.
  • Develop and optimize digital telecom embedded systems to support satellite applications.
  • Perform detailed system-level analyses, simulations, and trade studies to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate storage, processing, and connectivity capabilities into satellites.
  • Take part in the development of the payload RF frontend and contribute on signal processing algorithms tailored for space applications.
  • Ensure comprehensive testing, validation, and verification of systems to meet regulatory and industry standards.
  • Monitor system performance and provide troubleshooting support for deployed systems, ensuring mission success.
  • Document and maintain thorough records of design processes, test results, and system performance.


​Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in the design and implementation of satellite communication systems.
  • Knowledge of digital communication principles and satellite communication protocols.
  • Familiarity with antenna systems, RF propagation, and modulation techniques.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug complex communication systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
