Job Description:
What are the top 5-10 responsibilities for this position (please be detailed as to what the candidate is expected to do or complete daily)?
• Develop new and maintain existing SAS programs to extract, aggregate, and manipulate pharmacy and medical claims for analyses to support ad hoc data requests
• Participate in the interpretation of business requirements and creation of technical specifications including data dictionaries and programming specs
• Perform statistical analysis, and generate reports to answer research questions
• Perform quality control checks on code, data sets, analytic outputs, research manuscripts and other deliverables
What does the ideal candidate background look like (ex: healthcare specific background specific industry experience etc.)?
• Bachelors and/or masters degree in health services research, health economics, biostatistics, computer science, epidemiology, sociology, psychology or equivalent)
• 3+ years experience programming in SAS (including proc SQL)
• 3+ years' experience supporting health services, health economics, and outcomes research
What skills/attributes are required (please be detailed as to number of years of experience for each skill)? What skills/attributes are preferred (what will set a candidate apart)?
