Job description

Job Summary:
MDAEdge is seeking a highly skilled SAS Administrator and Architect with a strong finance background to oversee the effective operation of their SAS Analytics Environment. The role involves managing SAS installations, user access, and collaborating with development teams to optimize analytics processes.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure the smooth operation of the SAS Analytics Environment, providing best practices for analytics processes, programs, and models.
• Manage user permissions via SAS Management Console, ensuring appropriate access levels for reports and data.
• Work closely with the development team to maintain and enhance existing SAS programs.
• Oversee SAS product installations, upgrades, patches, and configurations in a UNIX environment.
• Research and recommend hardware and software improvements for SAS environments.
• Investigate, escalate, and resolve SAS production support incidents following established protocols.
• Maintain and execute disaster recovery procedures as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Expertise in SAS with strong proficiency in SAS Management Console and access control.
• Advanced SQL skills (Oracle, MySQL, Teradata) with deep knowledge of relational database design and data warehouse best practices.
• SAS Analytics Expertise: Strong background in statistical analysis, forecasting, predictive modeling, and data mining.
• Finance Domain Exposure: Understanding of financial data structures and analytics.
• System & Infrastructure Knowledge: Familiarity with networking, storage, and UNIX-based SAS installations.
• Disaster Recovery & Production Support: Experience managing SAS environments that serve multiple business units.
Preferred:
• Experience supporting high-memory SAS environments in enterprise-wide settings.
• Strong understanding of SAS output channels and system configurations.
• Ability to optimize SAS environments for performance and scalability.
