About Us: Join our dynamic team in Integrated Risk Insights within Risk Appetite & Portfolio Management, Enterprise Risk, where we assess and manage financial risks for the total Enterprise. We optimize the capital allocation to improve risk-adjusted returns, monitor the portfolio's financial risks and develop new risk metrics. The Team interacts with a variety of stakeholders across the firm and is focused on improving the integration of risk insights across Enterprise Risk groups including risk appetite, stress testing, and strategy, among others.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Applies mathematical and statistical methods to financial and risk management problems such as calibrating internal limits, optimize capital allocation or identify and monitor key risk indicators.
  • Develops and implements frameworks that improve the integration of risk insights across Enterprise Risk Management.
  • Conducts research and creates tools to help the bank make better financial decisions, drive innovation and minimize the impact of uncertainty.
  • Monitors risk in portfolios as well as strategies across all risk types and business segments
  • Applies knowledge of risk assessment and controls along with extensive understanding of industry compliance standards and regulations.
  • Identifies ways of mitigating potential risks; recommends and implements solutions based on analysis of issues and implications for the business.
  • Provides specialized consulting, analytical and technical support.
  • Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.

Qualifications:

  • 2 - 4 years of experience in a quantitative role in risk or capital management, along with a post-secondary degree in a quantitative field of study, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of regulatory capital, stress testing or risk model development.
  • Experience with data preparation, data analysis, and statistical tool sets such as SQL, SAS, Excel VBA, Python.
  • Exhibit strong logical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to synthesize complex matters into simple and actionable insights and communicate with clear and concise language.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn.
