Job Description
The Principal SAP BPC developer is responsible for the successful delivery of both the functional and technical components of SAP business planning solutions using SAP Business objects planning and consolidations 10.0 in a SAP BW HANA environment. The position will require strong functional and technical knowledge of BPC, along with finance, supply chain and operation planning processes, performance management and reporting solutions. The Principal SAP BPC developer will architect and lead the end-to-end BPC development lifecycle including planning, business requirements, design, development, testing and deployment phases using formal system implementation methodologies. This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to interact with key business customers and a proven track record designing and implementing BPC planning/Forecasting Solutions. The candidate must be a team player and lead internal BPC Team members; coach technical resources, provide technical expertise, guidance and direction when necessary.
At least 5 full life-cycle implementations of BPC 7.0/7.5/10.0 on Netweaver Platform. Integration of BPC with SAP BW along with core ECC modules includingSAP Finance and Controlling ,SAP Sales & Distribution and Operations Planning. Demonstrate leading practices in planning and forecasting design.Prior experience in SAP BW Finance reporting is desirable.
Qualifications
Perform hands-on BPC Planning design and configuration (reports, input schedules, script logic, badi customization, allocations, distributions, trending, etc.) are a must have.
Develop Reports, Input Templates, Dimensions, Data Integration, Business Process Flows, Logic, and Security.
BPC project and production support experience include but not limited to Allocations ,Intercompany Matching and Eliminations,Currency Translations ,Account Transformations ,Restatements ,Validations ,System administration ,BPC Administration experience and Web Admin ,Create and maintain Applications and Application Sets ,Backup and migration procedures ,Security design - Single Sign-On, Users, Secured Dimensions, Member Access and Task Profiles Integration of BPC to SAP ECC (retraction of results, drill-through), Business Objects, Enterprise Portals (i.e. Netweaver Portal, Microsoft SharePoint) and Microsoft Outlook.
Develop SAP BPC reports using EPM add in and reporting tools (Xcelsius, Crystal Reports, Business Explorer, etc.) to facilitate seamless drill-through analysis .Communicate and effectively present ideas and solutions to customers, team members, and partners. SAP BW modeling and design experience - ECC extraction, DSO, Master Data, Info provider modeling and design, Process Chain, BeX, Transports .Experience with knowledge transfer and end user training.
Ensure successful completion of all deliverables: specifications, walkthroughs, product development, unit integration and regression testing, defect resolution, technical documentation and ensure quality of deliverables.
Timely delivery of configuration and development and ensure that developed solution meets quality requirements .Must have expert knowledge of SAP and a general awareness of ongoing SAP developments in the EPM space.
Design functional solutions to solve business problems and needs, complete quality technical design specifications, review design recommendations to ensure quality and consistency across the footprint, facilitate business requirement definition sessions, and perform fit-gap analysis via discovery by engaging with business units and other SAP team members.
Review and/or participate in solution build and test activities on BPC implementations, rollouts, or upgrade projects, may be asked to step in to conduct project management activities from time to time .Advise on solution roadmap for BPC projects taking into account current Netweaver footprint.
Ability to perform fit/gap analysis and functional design. Demonstrate excellent verbal/presentation and written communication skills .Possess interpersonal skills to engage with all levels of BU and IT.Self-starter to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a keen desire to learn and expand depth of knowledge. Exhibit collaboration and teamwork skills. Adherence to IT/SAP project methodologies, and change control processes
