Responsibilities
Security Specialist will provide essential support across a range of security functions, including:
  • Assist in the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of comprehensive security protocols for Special Access Programs (SAPs) in strict accordance with DoD Manual 5205.07 and other relevant government regulations.

  • Actively participate in preparing for and supporting internal self-inspections and external SAP Security Compliance Inspections. Assist in documenting findings and tracking the implementation of corrective action plans to resolve any identified deficiencies.
  • Assist in conducting periodic inspections of facilities to ensure continuous compliance with the stringent physical security standards required for SAPFs and SCIFs, as defined by ICD 705 and other governing directives.
  • Support the security incident reporting and initial inquiry process for all security infractions, and violations, ensuring prompt and accurate reporting to the government Program Security Officer (PSO) or other designated security authority.
  • Maintain meticulous and audit-ready records for personnel security files, SAP access rosters, visit certifications, and other critical SAP documentation.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in DoW and/or IC security, with at least 1 year of direct, hands-on experience working within a Special Access Program environment.
  • A high school diploma. Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience. Completion of foundational CDSE/STEPP security training is required; SAP-related training is highly desirable.
