SAP FI Consultant | Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid)


Position Overview:


We are seeking an experienced SAP FI Consultant with strong expertise in SAP Financial Accounting and preferably prior experience supporting clients in the Food & Beverage, or related industries.


The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience configuring and supporting SAP FI processes, working with business and finance stakeholders, and integrating FI with other SAP modules such as CO, MM, SD, and PP. Experience with SAP S/4HANA is strongly preferred.


Key Responsibilities

Configure, implement, and support SAP FI functionality based on business and financial requirements.

Support core financial processes including:

General Ledger (GL)

Accounts Payable (AP)

Accounts Receivable (AR)

Asset Accounting (AA)

Bank Accounting

Financial Closing and Reporting

Work closely with finance and accounting teams to understand business processes and translate requirements into SAP solutions.

Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close activities.

Configure and support integration between SAP FI and CO, MM, SD, and other SAP modules.

Analyze production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and provide timely resolutions.

Support system enhancements, testing, documentation, user training, and deployment activities.

Participate in SAP S/4HANA implementation, migration, enhancement, or support initiatives.

Work with functional and technical teams on interfaces, reports, conversions, enhancements, and workflows.

Ensure SAP financial processes comply with internal controls, accounting standards, and business requirements.

Support financial processes related to manufacturing, inventory, procurement, sales, distribution, and supply chain operations.

Food & Beverage Industry Experience

Prior experience supporting Food & Beverage or Consumer Products organizations is highly preferred, particularly with financial processes involving:

Manufacturing and production environments

Inventory valuation and material movements

Cost of goods sold (COGS)

Procurement and vendor accounting

Customer billing and revenue recognition

Product costing and profitability

Intercompany transactions

Distribution and supply chain operations

High-volume financial transactions


Required Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience as an SAP FI Functional Consultant.

Extensive knowledge of GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, and Financial Closing.

Strong understanding of FI integration with CO, MM, and SD.

Experience gathering requirements, designing solutions, configuring SAP, and supporting testing and deployment.

Experience working directly with finance and business stakeholders.

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Excellent communication and documentation skills.


Preferred Qualifications

Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance.

Previous experience in the Food & Beverage, Consumer Products, Manufacturing, or Retail industry.

Experience with SAP CO, including cost center accounting, profit center accounting, internal orders, and product costing.

Experience with SAP implementations, upgrades, migrations, or transformation projects.

Knowledge of financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls.
