Job description

Company Overview:

Argano is the world’s largest global digital consultancy, exclusively connecting design and delivery for the transformation of high-performance business operations, extending our clients’ commercial agility, profitability, customer experience, and growth. Our strategic consulting, bolstered by proprietary IP, provides a comprehensive view of business operations, pinpointing areas of strength and unveiling opportunities for improvement. Argano is at the intersection of operations and technology for digital transformation

SAP IBP Senior Consultant

Argano’s SAP Supply Chain Digital Transformation Team is seeking an experienced SAP IBP Functional Lead Consultant to lead the design and delivery of SAP Integrated Business Planning solutions across complex client environments.

This role will work at the intersection of supply chain planning, business process transformation, and SAP technology. The Functional Lead will partner with business stakeholders, solution architects, and delivery teams to translate planning requirements into scalable SAP IBP solutions and will provide functional leadership throughout the project lifecycle — from discovery and design through deployment, stabilization, and continuous improvement.

Business planning and S&OP process experience is highly desirable and will be considered a strong differentiator, while the primary focus of the role remains strong hands-on SAP IBP functional and implementation expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Functional Leadership

  • Lead the functional design and delivery of SAP IBP solutions across one or more supply chain planning domains.
  • Translate business and planning requirements into scalable SAP IBP solution designs, including planning processes, master data, key figures, planning levels, algorithms, and user workflows.
  • Lead fit-to-standard and fit-gap discussions and provide recommendations based on SAP IBP capabilities and leading practices.
  • Define functional design decisions and ensure consistency across planning workstreams and integrated processes.
  • Work with solution architects and technical teams to define integration requirements between SAP IBP, SAP S/4HANA, and other enterprise systems.
  • Establish best-practice configuration standards and ensure alignment with SAP's quarterly release roadmap.

Delivery & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Lead or support full-cycle SAP IBP implementations including discovery, workshops, design, configuration, testing, deployment, hypercare, and transition to support.
  • Lead client workshops and facilitate discussions with supply chain planners, business process owners, and leadership stakeholders.
  • Understand business requirements, identify process and system gaps, and present solution options and recommendations.
  • Serve as the functional point of contact for assigned IBP workstreams.
  • Coordinate across functional, integration, data, development, and project management teams to ensure end-to-end solution integrity.
  • Support planning and execution of SIT, UAT, cutover, and business readiness activities.
  • Provide functional leadership, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to consultants and client teams.

Practice Development

  • Contribute to SAP IBP practice assets including accelerators, templates, design standards, methodologies, and demo environments.
  • Share SAP IBP product updates, lessons learned, and leading practices across the consulting team.
Minimum and/or Preferred QualificationsEducation:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field; MBA a plus.
Required Expertise
  • 5+ years of experience in SAP supply chain planning.
  • Experience with multiple full-cycle SAP IBP implementations.
  • Strong hands-on functional configuration experience in SAP IBP
  • Hands-on implementation experience in several of the following core areas:
    • Advanced Demand Planning
      • Statistical Modelling using advanced algorithms like MLR, ARIMA etc
    • Advanced Supply Planning
      • Optimizer
      • Order-Based Planning (OBP)
  • Experience leading functional workstreams, client workshops, solution design discussions, and implementation activities.
  • Understanding of integration between SAP IBP and SAP S/4HANA or other ERP environments.
  • Ability to translate supply chain requirements into functional SAP IBP designs.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills with the ability to explain complex planning and SAP concepts to both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing dependencies across multiple project workstreams.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with business planning processes such as Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), Integrated Business Planning, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, or Executive S&OP.
