Job Title :: SAP HANA Functional Consultant – Operations

Location :: New jersey City, NJ  (Onsite)

Contract :: 6+ months contract

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP HANA Functional Consultant with expertise in Operations business processes, SAP HANA, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, and PL/SQL. The ideal candidate will work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, and IT teams to deliver data-driven solutions, reporting frameworks, and cloud analytics capabilities that improve operational efficiency and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Operations Functional Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Operations stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements.
  • Support and optimize operational processes including:
    • Procurement and Purchasing
    • Inventory Management
    • Warehouse Management
    • Supply Chain Management
    • Logistics and Distribution
    • Production Planning and Manufacturing Operations
  • Translate business requirements into SAP HANA reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Develop operational KPIs, scorecards, and dashboards to monitor business performance.
  • Analyze operational trends and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Support operational planning, forecasting, and performance monitoring initiatives.

SAP HANA Responsibilities

  • Design and develop SAP HANA Calculation Views, Analytical Views, and Data Models.
  • Create reporting solutions for operational performance, inventory analysis, procurement analytics, and supply chain visibility.
  • Support SAP ECC/S4HANA operational reporting requirements.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and root cause analysis.
  • Optimize SAP HANA queries and reporting performance.

GCP & BigQuery Responsibilities

  • Integrate SAP operational data into Google Cloud Platform for enterprise analytics.
  • Design and develop BigQuery data marts and reporting layers.
  • Support cloud-based operational reporting and self-service analytics initiatives.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams on data ingestion, transformation, and governance activities.
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across SAP and cloud environments.

PL/SQL Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain PL/SQL procedures, packages, functions, and scripts.
  • Create automated data validation and reconciliation processes.
  • Optimize SQL and PL/SQL code for performance and scalability.
  • Support ETL/ELT processes and operational data transformation requirements.
  • Troubleshoot data quality and reporting issues across systems.

  • Experience working with Operations, Supply Chain, and Logistics stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with GCP and BigQuery.
  • Strong SQL and PL/SQL development expertise.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP S/4HANA implementation experience.
  • Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification.
  • Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Analytics and Operational Reporting.
  • Experience working in Agile project environments.
