The Opportunity
In this role, you will support Hitachi Energy's Global Grid Automation business by strengthening the systems and processes that enable efficient, reliable global operations across the energy sector. As a Global SP Business Analyst, you will help improve productivity and performance within our software business by recommending and documenting system and process solutions aligned with organizational priorities. You will apply your SAP revenue recognition and softwarefocused financial reporting knowledge to identify, study, and implement enhancements that support consistent and effective business outcomes.
You will work across endtoend processes connected to ERP, Salesforce, CPQ, and related applications-helping ensure seamless integration, better data quality, and smooth workflows that contribute to the broader digitalization initiatives within the power industry. By collaborating with finance teams, business stakeholders, Digital Core Center of Excellence Process Leads, and Solution Architects, you will gain exposure to global ERP strategy, new archetypes, and process harmonization across countries. Your work will advance system stability and operational clarity, supporting longterm modernization and continuous improvement across our digital landscape. In this role, you will shape how our organization uses ERP tools to support the products, services, and solutions that keep the power grid reliable and ready for the future.
How You'll Make an Impact
  • Identify, study, document, and review change requests and process improvements within assigned processes and archetypes.
  • Recommend process or system changes for approval to the PGGA Optimization Demand Lead and PGGA Business Unit Lead.
  • Support requirements gathering, documentation, design review, testing activities, and businessdriven change management efforts.
  • Clarify and define business requirements related to requested changes or improvements.
  • Collaborate with Digital Core CoE EndtoEnd Process Leads and Solution Architects to support effective process integration.
  • Build and maintain a network of SAP Key Users to encourage knowledge sharing and aligned practices.
  • Drive, manage, and support softwarefinancerelated ERP topics, including harmonizing processes across countries and supporting new organizational structures.
  • Expand your understanding across additional archetypes and processes to support continuous improvement and longterm evolution of the ERP landscape.
  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your Background
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Bachelor's degree (minimum) or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience working with SAP systems or performing ERPrelated business analysis.
  • Steady knowledge of SAP systems and applications, including revenue recognition and financial reporting for software environments.
  • Preferred SD (Sales and Distribution), CO (Controlling), FI (Finance) and PS (Project Systems) module knowledge. Experience with software revenue recognition.
  • Preferred SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) module
  • Indepth understanding of business processes and operations, with the ability to translate needs into system and process requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage activities and deliver solutions that support business value and operational consistency.
  • Fluent in English, with strong communication skills and awareness of cultural differences when working with global teams.
