Sap Ewm Remote information

What is a SAP EWM Remote?

A SAP EWM Remote job involves working with the SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) system from a remote location, rather than onsite. Professionals in these roles configure, implement, or support SAP EWM solutions for clients or employers, managing tasks such as warehouse optimization, inventory management, and process automation. Remote SAP EWM consultants or analysts typically use digital collaboration tools to communicate with teams and clients, ensuring smooth warehouse operations and integration with other SAP modules. This setup offers flexibility and can be ideal for those with strong SAP EWM experience who prefer or require remote work options.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a SAP EWM Remote consultant?

To thrive as a SAP EWM Remote Consultant, you need in-depth knowledge of warehouse management processes, SAP EWM configuration, and typically a bachelor’s degree in IT, logistics, or a related field. Proficiency in SAP EWM modules, integration tools like SAP S/4HANA, and relevant certifications such as SAP Certified Application Associate are highly valuable. Strong analytical thinking, effective communication, and problem-solving skills help consultants address client needs and collaborate with distributed teams. These skills are essential for delivering efficient EWM solutions and ensuring seamless warehouse operations from a remote setting.

What are some typical challenges faced by remote SAP EWM consultants, and how can they be addressed?

Remote SAP EWM consultants often encounter challenges such as coordinating with global teams across time zones, maintaining clear communication with stakeholders, and troubleshooting system issues without on-site access. Addressing these challenges involves leveraging collaborative tools, setting up regular virtual meetings, and documenting processes thoroughly. Successful consultants proactively build strong relationships with IT and warehouse teams, ensuring everyone stays aligned on project goals and system updates.

Job Summary
We are seeking a SAP Supply Chain Planning Analyst to join our Manufacturing Supply Chain team as part of a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation. This role is ideal for a candidate with foundational hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (ePP/DS) who is looking to grow into a broader end-to-end supply chain planning role.
You will work closely with senior SAP SCM and IT leads, business stakeholders, and system integrators to design, configure, and deploy core SAP standard solutions that support manufacturing, intercompany planning, and supply-demand synchronization. This role offers strong learning, visibility, and long-term growth opportunities within a global manufacturing environment.
What you will do
SAP S/4HANA Production Planning & Scheduling (Primary Focus)
  • Support configuration and deployment of S/4HANA ePP/DS functionality, including:
    • Production planning and scheduling
    • Heuristics, alerts, and capacity evaluation
    • Master data such as PDS, resources, BOMs, and routings
  • Assist in detailed production scheduling and execution alignment across plants.
  • Participate in Fit-to-Standard workshops and help translate business requirements into SAP planning solutions.

Integrated Business Planning (Secondary Focus)
  • Provide functional support and analysis for SAP IBP processes such as:
    • Demand and supply planning
    • Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
  • Collaborate with senior experts to support integration between IBP and S/4HANA ePP/DS.

Intercompany & Manufacturing Flows
  • Support intercompany manufacturing and distribution planning, including:
    • Plant-to-plant supply
    • Make-to-stock and make-to-order scenarios
  • Help ensure planning consistency across internal supply chains.

Cross-Functional Integration & Delivery
  • Work with MM, SD, QM, WM/EWM, and FI/CO teams to support end-to-end process integration.
  • Assist with data migration, testing (unit, integration, UAT), and cutover activities.
  • Support post-go-live stabilization, user adoption, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you will bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 6-8 years of experience working with SAP Supply Chain or Manufacturing solutions.
  • Hands-on experience or strong exposure to SAP S/4HANA Production Planning and/or ePP/DS.
  • Foundational understanding of manufacturing business processes:
    • MRP Live
    • Production orders
    • BOMs and routings
    • Capacity planning
  • Experience working in discrete manufacturing environments (wire/cable, electronics, or similar industries preferred).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, project-based transformation environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to SAP IBP (Demand, Supply, or S&OP).
  • Experience supporting at least one SAP S/4HANA implementation or rollout.
  • Knowledge of planning master data concepts (PDS, resources, planning versions).
  • Experience with intercompany planning or multi-plant manufacturing scenarios.
  • SAP certifications in SCM, PP, ePP/DS, or IBP are a plus.

Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $101,400 - $152,100 plus benefits and additional incentives based on the level of the role. This is the reasonable estimate that Belden believes it might pay for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting.
